The Liberty Suite sits on the garden side of the lodge behind thick stone walls, with French doors opening onto a vine-covered patio. Beyond it, a shaded lawn runs down past the willows to the water.

The four-poster is hammered dark iron with a woven rope headboard, dressed in white linen, a rust throw and woven cushions. A carved antique armoire, Persian rugs and a soft armchair by the window make it feel lived in. In the bathroom, the bath sits under a tall sash window looking into the trees, between warm pine towers stacked with towels. One night gets you a long soak and a very good sleep. Two gets you coffee on the patio, a walk down to the water and sunset over the mountains before dinner.
